Linguelo (Alpha) Is Live 🇮🇹
Hi everyone,
My apologies for the relative lack of engagement lately; it’s been an overwhelming time personally. My father recently passed away.
On a brighter note, I’ve also been working on something I’m really excited to share with you: Linguelo, a new adaptive Italian learning platform. The good news is: it’s now live, and you can sign up for free below.
A few things first
Linguelo is currently in alpha, which means things might change or break unexpectedly. Please be patient and feel free to share your feedback; it truly helps.
During the Alpha phase (until the end of 2025), the site is completely free and unlimited for everyone.
When Linguelo officially launches in 2026, Alpha users will automatically move to a Free tier and receive a generous discount code if they’d like to upgrade to a Premium plan.
If you’re a paid subscriber of Italian with Antonio, you’ll automatically get the Pro/Premium role on Linguelo shortly after you sign up. It doesn’t make much difference during the Alpha, but starting in 2026, it’ll let you take many more quizzes per day compared to the Free tier.
How does it work
You sign up and confirm your email (if you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder).
Take your initial assessment to determine your initial rating.
You start training, and the system will present you only with quizzes that are in line with your level. As you improve your Italian, the quizzes get tougher. If you regress, they get easier. You get a quiz right, your score goes up. You get a quiz wrong, and it goes down.
Linguelo’s adaptive system ensures you’re always challenged at the right level; not too easy, not too hard. This “Goldilocks zone” maximizes learning efficiency and keeps you motivated.
The idea behind Linguelo is that it augments whatever else you do to improve your Italian. Watching movies, reading books, taking courses, listening to Italian music, and conversing with native speakers are all great choices.
Linguelo complements these activities by providing targeted practice and explanations that are rich in practical tips and cultural notes. Think of it as your daily Italian gym, whether you have five minutes to spare or an hour.
I hope you enjoy Linguelo and good luck!
— Antonio
